It’s been just about a year since I last shared my recent thrift store purchases! I had intended to write one of these posts about every three months, but life just happens sometimes! In the last year, I’ve still been thrifting…and I’ve still been finding some really awesome stuff! So, today I thought I’d show you some of what I’ve picked up recently! I always love seeing what people find in thrift stores, so I thought it might be interesting to share what I’ve found! Now, without further ado, here’s what I’ve recently thrifted (and by recent, I mean over the last few months)!
I found one book that I was interested in. I picked up a copy of Misery by: Stephen King for $0.99! I’ve never read this book before, but I really like the movie, so I thought I’d give it a try! I’ve actually never read any Stephen King novels before!
The next thing I found is this amazingly beautiful floral hat box! As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to take it home! Not only is it really pretty looking, but it’s also quite large, so it will be really useful. And on top of that, it was only $2.99!
As some of you may know, I love movies…and I love collecting movies! So I picked up quite a few new ones at the thrift store recently to add to my collection!
I picked up a bunch of DVDs for $2.99 a piece…actually less because I had a coupon!
And I also picked up a few VHS tapes for $0.99 each! There’s always a really good selection of VHS tapes at the thrift store because so many people today don’t want their old ones. But I have nothing against VHS tapes…if the tape works and it’s a good movie, then I add it to my collection! VHS tapes are actually quite nostalgic for me!
We’re getting closer and closer to the holidays, so I also found some really festive Christmas decorations to put around the house! These all ranged in price from $0.99 to $5.99!
I’m very excited that I found five new glass jars to store some of my legumes in! My grandpa found the the one that contains my chick peas for $1.99 when he was at a thrift store a little while ago. He knew that I was looking for glass jars, so he very generously bought it for me. And then I luckily found the other four a few days later for $2.99 to $3.99!
And last, but certainly not least, I found this great wooden table! My Grandma actually spotted it when we were out thrifting together last month! I thought it was really cute and looked to be in pretty good shape, so I decided to get it. And you’ll never guess what I paid for it…..$3.95 ($4.99 before the discount)! Amazing, right!? I already have it all set up in my bedroom!
Do you go thrifting? What do you like to look for?
