Today I thought I’d share my pretty basic recipe for homemade hummus! Hummus is honestly one of my favourite things in life! I feel like I could eat it all day, every day (kidding, but not really)! Hummus makes everything taste better and it provides good nutrition, so I eat it frequently. I love all kinds of hummus — including store bought ones — but homemade hummus is definitely better, healthier, and a heck of a lot cheaper, so I now make my own. This recipe is so easy to make — it only takes about 5 minutes. I hope you love it like I do!
EASY-TO-MAKE VEGAN HUMMUS

3 garlic gloves, minced
1/2 tsp salt
Optional: any spices you would like
Optional: coarse ground pepper to taste
Directions:
1. In a food processor, add 1 cup chickpeas, minced garlic, tahini, and lemon juice; blend about 1 minute, or until smooth.
2. Add remaining chick peas, salt, and any spices you’ve selected; blend for another minute, or until smooth.
3. Add olive oil and 1 or 2 tbsp cold water; blend for 1 or 2 minutes until completely smooth.

And that’s it! It’s a pretty basic recipe, but honestly, there’s really nothing basic about hummus!
