Today I have another cruelty-free holiday product review coming your way! This time I’ll be sharing a brief review of the Frosted Berries Shower Gel from The Body Shop. I’ve been testing it out for the past few weeks, so I thought I’d let you know how I feel about it! Before we get to the review of this shower gel, though, let me tell you about the tiny bit of drama it was to get it!
So on Cyber Monday, The Body Shop was having an amazing sale — 50% off site wide and free shipping on all orders — so I decided to order this shower gel as well as some other items (some for Christmas gifts and some for me) Well, The Body Shop shipped my purchases a few days later, like usual, so they sent me the tracking code. I always like to periodically check the tracking to see when the expected date of delivery is, so that’s what I did. It was scheduled for that Friday, so that day I waited for the door bell to ring, but it never did. Late in the afternoon, I decided to check the tracking again and it said that the package was delivered that morning. After looking all around my property, I had to call the shipping company to inform them of this. After several days of trying to communicate with them, I found out that the package was delivered to another house way down the street. Man, was I glad that it wasn’t lost or stolen! But I can’t believe it was dropped off at a completely different address. In all the years that I’ve received packages in the mail, this has never happened! I can understand it being an honest mistake, though, with all the packages that are being delivered to people this time of year! Anyway that’s my little story about purchasing this product! Now on to the review!

My Thoughts: I really like this shower gel! It’s got a really nice scent, but it’s not overpowering (in the bottle it is, but not on skin). I find the Frosted Berries shower gel has a very familiar scent. On the packaging it say it contains cranberry extract from North America, which I definitely pick up but it’s more sweet than bitter. The scent of this shower gel actually really reminds me of those gummy raspberry candies — I’m not sure what they’re called at the moment, but if you’re in Canada, you probably know what I’m talking about! After I use this shower gel in the shower, I find it leaves my skin soft with a very light scent. The scent, however, doesn’t really stick around for long after exiting the shower. I bet it would help to use the matching body butter, which would probably create a stronger fragrance on skin. I will say, I find this shower gel doesn’t foam up too much without a loofah — so I would definitely end up using more if I didn’t use one. I always use a loofah, though, and it foams up really well! This shower gel also rinses off really easily, and it leaves my skin feeling clean without feeling squeaky clean, like some products do. I really love this shower gel and I would definitely purchase it again!
I would have liked to try the other holiday scents from The Body Shop, but I haven’t gotten around to it! Have you tried this scent or other holiday scents?
