So, today I’m going to be doing the Christmas Tag! I did this my first year of blogging, but for some reason, I deleted it! So, I decided to do it again! Without further ado, here are my answers to The Christmas Tag questions!
What is your favourite Christmas film?
This is a hard one! I have so many favourite Christmas films, so it’s hard to choose, but I think my favourite Christmas film will always be Home Alone! If I had a second pick, though, I would definitely pick Elf!
Have you ever had a white Christmas?
Most years, we have a white Christmas, which I love! We’ve had a few green Christmases in recent years, though, and it’s always disappointing!
Where do you usually spend your holiday?
I always spend my holiday at home with my family! We love to cook, bake, watch movies, and just spend a lot of time together!
What is your favourite Christmas song?
I think my favourite Christmas song is Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree by: Brenda Lee! I have a lot of favourites, though!
Do you open any presents on Christmas eve?
Now, no, we always exchange gifts in the morning. But, when I was a kid, my mom would let me open one present every Christmas eve, and it would always be a new pair of pyjamas!
Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?
Um, well, let’s see! There’s Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Comet, Cupid?, Donner, Blitzen, and possibly Vixen? …I think!
What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
We don’t really have too many actual traditions; we mostly just like to spend a lot of time together, cook, watch movies, walk in the snow, and stuff like that! There are a few more, but I’ll put those in a separate Blogmas post!
Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Our Christmas tree has always been fake. My grandparents had their first Christmas tree for almost 45 years, then decided it was time for a new one!
What is your all-time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?
I really like vegan chili or any kind of meatless pasta. As far a dessert goes, I really like apple pie …and any type of homemade cookie!
Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
Both! No, seriously, I love giving gifts way more! I always do my Christmas shopping and planning way ahead of time, so I always find it hard to wait for Christmas! I always just want to give my gifts right away!
What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?
The best Christmas gift I ever received was not expected and didn’t happen on Christmas. December 27th, 2004 was the day that I adopted my second hamster, Princess, and my cat, Louie! First I picked up Princess, and then later in the evening — while I was getting Princess all settled into her new home — my mom brought Louie home. He was a homeless cat who we suspect had been abused and had had a rough life. It didn’t take him long to adjust to our family and he became the most loving cat! That day was definitely a great day!
What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
I really love it here around the holidays, but I think I would definitely pick a nice cabin in the mountains! I think it would be a lot of fun and super cozy!
Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
It all depends! If the present is square or rectangular shaped, then I’d say I’m pretty good! Any other shape, though, I definitely fail miserably!
Most memorable holiday moment?
Just spending lots of quality time with my family definitely creates great memories. But, I remember when Elf came to theatres, my mom and I went to see it! We went all out, buying all the junk food we could carry! It was a lot of fun and I will always cherish it!
What made you realize the truth about Santa?
I actually remember this! I remember when I was young, one of my Christmas gifts from “Santa” was a really cool green basket with stars. I remember looking at the “Love Santa” writing and thinking that it looked a lot like my Grandpa’s writing. That’s when I definitely started suspecting things! I did decide to push that to the back of my head, though, and continued to believe a little longer!
Do you make New Year’s resolutions? Do you stick to them?
I did make a few simple ones last year, but typically I don’t make them. I think any time is a good time to make changes. I did pretty much stick to my simple resolutions that I made last year, though!
What makes the holidays special for you?
Family. Spending time with family is very important to me!
And that’s it! If you did the Christmas Tag, leave a link to it in the comments section! I’d love to read it!
