My Thoughts: I’ll be honest, when I first received this soap in the mail, I was was not a fan of the scent. I didn’t dislike it; it just wasn’t what I was expecting. As far as the scent goes, to me it doesn’t really smell like candy cane, which is what I was hoping for. The scent is more sweet — so I get the vanilla in it — but I didn’t really get the candy cane part. Although, thinking about it now, it’s probably not supposed to have a ‘peppermint’ scent, which is what I was kind of hoping for. But, even though I was not a fan of the scent at first, this soap has grown on me! After using it, I find it leaves my skin with a very light, clean scent and feeling really soft — not dry at all, like some other soaps do. It also makes my skin feel really clean, but not tight. As far as the soap itself goes, it’s not that big, but based on how much I’ve used it so far — which is a couple weeks — I would guess that this soap is going to last a while (although I’ve mainly been using it on my hands). I do have to say, though, that the steam from the shower has an effect on the soap, so it’s a good idea not to keep it in the shower area when it’s not needed. It also tends to make a bit of a mess, so definitely keep it in a soap dish. What I really love about this soap bar is that when it gets wet, it really kind of suds up. What I mean is, the soap bar doesn’t feel dry; once it hits the water, it becomes very creamy. Overall, I would say that I really like this soap, and even though I wasn’t a fan of the scent at first, it grew on me. The product itself and the effect it continues to have on my skin is wonderful!
