My Thoughts: I’ll be honest, when I first received this soap in the mail, I was was not a fan of the scent. I didn’t dislike it; it just wasn’t what I was expecting. As far as the scent goes, to me it doesn’t really smell like candy cane, which is what I was hoping for. The scent is more sweet — so I get the vanilla in it — but I didn’t really get the candy cane part. Although, thinking about it now, it’s probably not supposed to have a ‘peppermint’ scent, which is what I was kind of hoping for. After using this soap, I find it leaves my skin with a very light, clean scent and feeling really soft — not dry at all, like some other soaps do. It also makes my skin feel really clean, but not tight. I also like fact that when it gets wet, it really kind of suds up. What I mean is, the soap bar doesn’t feel dry; once it hits the water, it becomes very creamy. The soap bar itself is not that big, so I’m not too sure how long it’s going to last. On the more negative side, I’ve noticed that the steam from the shower has a big effect on the soap, so it’s a good idea not to keep it in the shower area when it’s not needed. It also makes quite a mess when it gets wet, so it’s best kept in a soap dish. And because of the colour of the soap — which is a brownish colour — it just ends up looking gross. Overall, I would say that I think I like this soap, but I don’t like the mess it makes. As much as it’s nice on my skin, I would not repurchase it, though.
