Cruelty-Free Beauty & Lifestyle Favourites | Fall 2017

Lately, I’ve been thinking that I’d like to share more about the cruelty-free beauty, lifestyle, fashion, entertainment, and any other random items that I enjoy at any given time. I used to like the idea of monthly favourites, but that just doesn’t work for me because, in all honesty, I would just be sharing the same things every month. So, I probably won’t have a regular schedule as far as my favourites go, but I think it will be fun to check in every once in a while to share what I’ve been loving — whatever that may be!

With all that said, today I want to talk about the things that I’ve been enjoying so far this fall — my fall favourites!

Conditioner: I’ve been using the JASON Normalizing Tea Tree Conditioner as my conditioner for the past couple of months. I’ve had a slightly dry scalp for a little while now, but using this has really helped. I find it restores some moisture to my hair and scalp, and it leaves my hair feeling really soft. I also like the scent of this conditioner; to me it smells really clean.

Facial Cleanser: I also really like the Formula 10.0.6 Best Face Forward Passionfruit + Green Tea Daily Foaming Cleanser. I’ve been using it pretty regularly for about the past month and a half. It’s been really great. I love the scent of it — it smells fresh and a bit fruity — and it’s been really good for my skin. I’ve had no breakouts — which I don’t get often anyway — and it’s been leaving my skin feeling really soft. It also doesn’t leave my skin feeling tight afterward — just clean!

Nail Polish: I’ve been seriously loving two nail colours this fall — Grape Minds Think Alike from Wet n Wild and Fifth Avenue from China Glaze.  They’re both really great colours for the fall! Grape Minds Think Alike is a dark berry colour — kind of purple in a way — and Fifth Avenue is a super gorgeous dusty rose colour.  I’ve pretty much been switching back and forth between these nail polish colours this fall!

CD: I finally got around to purchasing Lust For Life by: Lana Del Rey last month. I’m not sure what took me so long, but I finally picked it up. It’s such a great album! Then again, I always love Lana’s music! My favourite songs on this CD are Love, Lust For Life, Groupie Love, Summer Bummer, Coachella – Woodstock On My Mind, and Change.

Movies: My favourite movies from the past month or so were Casper and The Skeleton Key. Casper is a classic Halloween movie and is one of my favourites! The Skeleton Key is also a really good movie. I picked it up last month, but I had seen it a few times before. It always keeps me on the edge of my seat!

TV Show: I’ve been really into Law and Order: Special Victims Unit again. I used to watch this show all the time, then I guess I just became uninterested in it. But, lately I’ve been really enjoying it! My Grandpa and I stayed up super late a few weeks ago watching a marathon! It was a lot of fun!

Snack: For some reason, over the last couple of months, I’ve been obsessed with chick peas. They’re so delicious! I’ve been eating them in salads or alone with some Mrs. Dash. I think I might try to make some homemade hummus because I love hummus and I’ve never made it before.

Mug: I picked up this Homer Simpson donut mug a few months ago at a Thrift store and I just love it! I’ve always loved The Simpsons, so I was pretty excited when I saw it for a dollar! I’ll be featuring it in an upcoming Thrift store haul later this month.  Now that it’s getting colder, I’ve been drinking a fair amount of tea, and this has frequently been my mug of choice!

And that’s it! Those are the top things that I’ve enjoyed the past few months. What are some of your fall favourites?
