A few months ago I finally tried the Schmidt’s Bergamot + Lime Deodorant, and I’ve been loving it ever since! I thought today, I’d share my review and a bit of information about it.
Description: “This natural formula effectively neutralizes underarm door and absorbs wetness. Free of aluminum, propylene glycol, parabens & phthalates.”
How to Use: “Apply gently to underarms as needed. Do not overapply.”
Ingredients: Butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), Maranta arundinacea (arrowroot) powder, Theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, Citrus bergamia (bergamot) essential oil, Citrus aurantifolia (lime) essential oil, Tocopherol (vitamin E)
Price: $12.99 CAD
Size: 56.7 g
Is it Cruelty-Free? Yes!
Is it Vegan? Yes!
Availability: The only place where I know where the Schmidt’s Bergamot + Lime Deodorant can be found is on well.ca.
Pros: Cruelty-free; vegan; Leaping Bunny approved; PETA approved; aluminum-free, paraben-free; gluten-free; phthalate-free; no propylene glycol; absorbs quickly; not greasy or sticky; keeps doors away all day; fresh citrus scent.
Cons: A little bit harder to apply than other deodorants.
My Thoughts: I have to say, I really love this deodorant! It’s definitely on the pricier side, but it’s by far the best cruelty-free, aluminum-free deodorant that I’ve ever used. I find it really helps keep odors away all day and it keeps my underarms pretty dry, considering it’s not an antiperspirant. I also love the smell! I love the smell of citrus, and that’s exactly what this smells like. It smells so fresh and clean! The only downfall to this deodorant is that it’s not like other deodorants as far as application goes. This stuff comes in a jar that contains a small spatula to help with application. I know there’s also a stick version of this deodorant, but I’ve heard that it’s sometimes a little hard to apply because it feels dry. For this specific deodorant, I find the easiest way to apply it to my underarms is with my fingers. It sounds messy and kind of gross, but it really isn’t. It’s quick and easy, and then I just rinse my hands. I absolutely love this deodorant; I’ll definitely be repurchasing it!
I hope this review was helpful! Do you have a favourite cruelty-free deodorant? Have you tried this stuff?
I’ve tried Schmidt’s in two different scents. It is one of the best deodorants I’ve ever tried!

I’ve been wanting to try this deodorant for a while now! I have been having trouble finding a really good natural deodorant. I found one that I like but it’s even pricier then this. So definitely going to give this one a try next. Thanks!

Oooh this sounds amazing! I’ve been trying so many different natural deodorants but haven’t had much luck 😦 I’ve seen a few like this that you apply with your hands and I think it’s much more sanitary than rubbing a stick on your underarms day after day ahahah!

Sorry to hear that you haven’t had much luck with natural deodorants. I’m also not a fan of many of them. But this one is pretty good …definitely much better than other ones!
I agree with you on the sanitary part!!
