Availability: The Yes To Carrots Nourishing Fragrance Free Gentle Cleansing Wipes can be found in various stores in Canada. I picked these up at Winners, but I’ve also seen them at Shoppers Drug Mart. They’re also available on Amazon.
Pros: Cruelty-free; fragrance-free; paraben-free; petroleum-free; SLS-free; made from compostable materials.
Cons: Contains some fragrance; doesn’t remove thick or long-lasting makeup; leaves my face a little red.
My Thoughts: I’m just going to come right and say that I seriously dislike these cleansing wipes. On the positive side, I find that I only need one wipe to fully remove my makeup, although, I don’t typically wear a lot of makeup. I don’t think these wipes would be good for those who wear thicker or more long-lasting makeup; one wipe won’t remove everything. I like that these cloths are thick and are well-moistened. I also like the easy-to-open-and-close packaging. As far as the scent goes, I personally wouldn’t call these wipes fragrance-free. Typically, fragrance doesn’t bother me, so I don’t really have an issue with the scent of these. I do find there isn’t as much fragrance in these wipes as there is in others; but these would not be suitable for those who want truly fragrance-free makeup removing wipes. The reason I really dislike these wipes is that they leave my face feeling hot and looking almost burned after I use them. I don’t really have super sensitive skin, so I’m not sure why my skin reacts the way it does. After using them, It feels and looks almost as if I have a sunburn. I’ve never had this reaction to makeup removing/cleansing wipes. All that said, the redness goes away relatively quickly. All in all, I will definitely not be repurchasing these wipes; I’m not even sure I’ll be able to use up the whole package. It’s great that they’re affordable and they’re cruelty-free, but there are other makeup removing wipes that work so much better for me!
I hope this review was helpful! Definitely let me know if you have any questions!
