Cover FX Illuminating Primer Review

Today I thought I would share with you my thoughts on the Illuminating Primer from Cover FX!  Last month, I decided to give it a try because I saw Sephora was offering a deluxe sample.  So, I used some of my Sephora Beauty Insider points to get it so I could see what it’s all about.  I had never tried anything from Cover FX before, but it’s been recommended to me numerous times!  Here are my thoughts and some information on the Illuminating Primer.

Description:  “A silicone-free primer that gives your skin an instant luminous glow packed with powerful skincare ingredients to illuminate the skin for a brighter, more radiant appearance.

How to Use: “Apply a pea-sized amount with your fingertips under your foundation as a primer or use alone for a radiant glow.

Price:  $44.00 CAD

Size:  30 mL (full size)

Availability:  The Cover FX Illuminating Primer can be found at Sephora, both in-store and online, and also on the Cover FX website.

Pros:  Cruelty-free; silicone-free; gives face a nice glow; not oily; not thick; quickly absorbed; pleasant scent; can be used under foundation or alone.

Cons:  Expensive.

My Thoughts:  I really liked using up my deluxe sample of the Cover FX Illuminating Primer!  It was nice to be able to try something out without spending money on the full size.  I have to say, I was quite impressed with this primer.  I’m not usually a fan of face primers, but I really liked this one!  It was very light on my face, it absorbed quickly, and it didn’t feel oily or heavy.  It also had a pleasant scent to it, which I find a lot of primers don’t.  I was surprised that it actually gave my face a more luminous glow.  I’m not really sure how good it was at doing what a primer should do, but I loved the illuminating effects it had on my face!  I would definitely consider buying the full size primer!
