Earthwise Witch Hazel Distillate Review

A while ago, I started using witch hazel in my beauty routine!  I’d heard about all its skin benefits and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about!  So, I decided to purchase the Earthwise Witch Hazel Distillate months ago, and I’ve been using it ever since!  Today, I thought I would share my thoughts on it with you!

Witch hazel is a wonderful natural, multi-purpose beauty product!  It has so many skin care uses and benefits!  It can be used as a toner, as an after-shave, to help dry out blemishes, to help calm rashes, to help heal sunburns, to help soothe insect bites, and so much more.  I love the Earthwise Witch Hazel!

According to the company, “Earthwise Witch Hazel Distillate is a natural astringent that will tone, soothe and treat your skin!”  This is exactly what it does!  I find when I apply this witch hazel, it instantly calms my skin and it feels so light!  I have somewhat sensitive skin and this witch hazel doesn’t affect it at all — it actually soothes my skin.

The Earthwise Witch Hazel is over 99.8% pure and is cruelty-free, alcohol-free, and fragrance-free.  Here are the ingredients:

Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) distillate (99.85% concentration),
Benzoic acid (0.15%)

The Earthwise Witch Hazel comes in a plastic container with a pop-up lid.  It contains 215 ml of witch hazel and costs approximately $8.99 CAD, depending on where it’s purchased.

Here are some pros and cons of the Earthwise Witch Hazel Distillate!

Over 99.8% pure
Suitable for sensitive skin
Many skincare uses/benefits

Natural nutty scent (which may be strong for some)
Slightly pricey (but less than other brands)

Overall, I quite like this witch hazel and I think I’ll continue to use it!  I also really like the name, witch hazel!  It sounds like it’s some sort of potion!
