Today I’m back with another cruelty-free review! I’m going to be reviewing the Alba Botanica Facial Sunscreen.
I figured, since it’s summer, most of us are trying to protect our skin a little more from the harsh UV rays. A lot of us will be wearing sunscreen when we go out. It’s so important that we protect our skin because otherwise the sun could potentially cause skin cancer. So, the sunscreen that we use has to be effective! I have sensitive skin and I’m pretty pale, so I burn quite easily if I don’t use proper skin protection. That means that the sunscreen I use has to actually work, or I’ll become a human lobster!
Of course, there are so many sunscreens on the market, but many of them are not cruelty-free. It’s important to me that the one I do buy is not tested on animals. I don’t want to protect myself from potential harm, while paying someone to do harm to animals. The Alba Botanica Facial Sunscreen is a cruelty-free, hypo-allergenic sunscreen that is water resistant for up to 80 minutes. It’s paraben-free, fragrance-free, and oxybenzone-free.
When squeezing the product out of the container, it’s important to do it slowly because I find it can sometimes squeeze out way too much product at once. When the sunscreen is first applied to skin, it’s a bit greasy and it can take some working in to skin. It does, however, absorb relatively quickly. I find it provides good sun protection, when it’s used as suggested; I have no signs of skin burning when I use this sunscreen. It’s really important to reapply when recommended and after swimming.
The Alba Botanica Facial Sunscreen comes in a small squeezable container and contains 113 ml of product. It costs around $13.99 CAD, depending on where you purchase it.
Here are some pros and cons of the Alba Botanica Face Sunscreen.

It’s only been in recent years that I’ve tried the Alba Botanica Facial Sunscreen, but I’ve stuck with it. Overall, I really like it and I feel it does a good job of protecting my skin.
I hope you enjoyed this review! I’ll be back with another post on Monday!
