Today I want to share with you my thoughts on the BH Cosmetics Essential Eyes 28 Color Eyeshadow Palette. I got it this past December, and I’ve been loving it ever since!
Most of the time, when I wear makeup, I lean toward neutral coloured eyeshadows and liners, and sometimes I go a bit more colourful with my lip colour. So, because I use neutral eyeshadow colours most of the time, I tend to go through them relatively quickly. I was so excited to get this palette because it has 28 neutral shades that I’ll be able to get a lot of use out of and will last me a while!
I found the BH Cosmetics Essential Eyes 28 Color Eyeshadow Palette at a Winners store a neighbourhood over from where I live. I thought it was absolutely gorgeous and I knew that I’d be able to get a tonne of use out of it. I was very impressed with the price …I mean 28 eyeshadows for $9.99 CAD?! Yes, please! I’d never tried anything from BH cosmetics before, and I knew that the company was cruelty-free, so I decided to pick it up and try it out.
I am so impressed with this palette! I was pretty sure that the eyeshadows would be decent because BH Cosmetics is a popular brand, but I didn’t know that the eyeshadows would be as good-quality as they are. The pigmentation of these colours is so good and the eyeshadows are quite velvety. I was shocked, and still am, how good these eyeshadows are for the price. In addition to the excellent quality of the eyeshadow, they are also very long lasting. I didn’t have to touch up my eyeshadow at all through out the day.
I would definitely compare these eyeshadows to eyeshadows from some high-end brands, like Urban Decay and Too Faced, but for a fraction of the cost. The only negative, I would say, to these eyeshadows is that there is a very small amount of fallout when applying them; however, it’s not enough that it will completely mess up a makeup look! I typically blow on my eyeshadow brush before applying my eyeshadow, so that fallout is not really a problem.
Some pros and cons of the BH Cosmetics Essential Eyes 28 Color Eyeshadow Palette are:
Pros:
Cruelty-free
Leaping Bunny Certified
Excellent colour payoff
Long lasting
28 colours
Price – $9.99 CAD
Cons:
Very light eyeshadow fallout
I know I’m going to be able to get a lot of use out of this palette; I’ve been using it almost every day since I got it! It’s such an amazing palette that’s going to be a staple in my makeup routine for a while!
Have you guys tried this palette?
I love BH Cosmetics and I love this neutral palette. I think I’m going to order this one. Thanks for the review and for the tip about blowing on the brush. Lol.

I haven’t had the chance to check out BH Cosmetics. I’ve been wanting to! For some reason I get BH Cosmetics & Morphe mixed up sometimes, too, ha-ha — random thought. Anyway, I love the palette you chose. They look like gorgeous colors. 🙂 Would love to see a makeup tutorial using this palette! 🙂

I’m the same when it comes to mixing up BH Cosmetics & Morphe! Similar palettes, I guess! 🙂

Monday I will be doing a review on four affordable makeup palettes for beginners, and BH is one of them. Affordable, pigmented, and you can create many looks with it. I was browsing through their website and feel in love with this. Now I will be ordering this, thanks for your review.
